The Oral Tradition
In ancient oral cultures, orality is accompanied by ritual action. Our priests are taught from the earliest and retain this rihte through their lives. It's very odd that we take it for granted that great actors can learn massive plays by heart and keep them in their heads for many years. We don't understander as non oralists, although we're going over er orally. And so the words are empowered by er, by mental force, but also by the ritual action formed contemporaneously.
