The Rise and Fall of Julian Elting

Julian Elting played Jack Mitchell in Madame Behave and Lady Bill in The Second Liberty Loan. At the height of his film popularity, he did some work on stage with Mary Pickford. In 1930, California passed a motion picture production code that banned cross-dressing as well as sex perversion. As a director, Julian Elting never had a public relationship with anyone.
