Is There a Difference Between Authenticity and Social Media?
i think the idea of authenticity as being important is, is age old. But i kind of feel like what that means is really hard to disaggregate from behaviour. How do we know what is our entic oror inauthentic selves? A lot of us are training ourselves to figure out what will pick up attention. That feels like a very different way of discovering who we are than maybe people even yet. People are just craving a some element of normalty, whatever that means. There's a craving at a base human level, especially after pandemic.
