The Importance of Symbolism in the Bible

In the ancient world water is both a symbol of life or death. It can be a symbol of order or it can be a sign of chaos. The image that we're going to be talking about in this episode and the ones that are upcoming is the picture, the image of water. Water is either a really good thing in the Bible or it's a really bad things in the Bible. How could it be both? Well, if I give you a glass of water and I didn't tell you it was seawater, that would matter, wouldn't it?
