The Prandtl Angle in a Lunar Vacuum
In a vacuum, your exhaust expands pretty significantly. The amount that it turns is called the Prandtl angle. So you are getting upward flow coming out of that nozzle. It comes out and some of it goes up. However, because of conservation of momentum, most of it goes down when it hits the ground under the vehicle.
