The Role of Family History in Retinal Breaks
A retinal detachment can really only happen if there's a retinal break with some sort of traction on it. A horseshoe tear is much more likely to progress and say just, you know, a percolated hole or retinal hole alone. If they're truly asymptomatic, then I take a couple things in no account. One is family history. And sometimes it's just a risk benefit combo where you have with the patient, like look, these are the both are fine. You know, how do you feel about it? Sometimes that guides me one way or another.
