The Battle of Naysby, 17th Century, English Civil War
The English Civil War was fought in the middle of the 17th century. Oliver Cromwell led a royalist army against parliamentarians, who wanted to establish a parliament and not just have the king ruling by decree. The two armies met after a series of battles, and a decisive one at Naysby.
