"It's a pretty weird thing for that to happen because you realize all of a sudden how light you are," he says. "Your guitar immediately shifted the my train of thought and my disposition from feeling sorry for myself ... to being really calm at peace and thankful." The band had just trucked everything out from Atlanta when they were stranded in New York over Thanksgiving weekend. They couldn't get a flight home, so they spent the whole weekend there without their belongings.
