She says keep looking, keep experimenting and be willing to move if it's not possible to raise your kids in the manner that you think best for them because of external pressures. How would you approach the subject of luck and meritocracy with young kids?Kohn: If you're born in a country that's so incredibly lucky compared to 99% the world's citizens, you're very lucky.

Professor Frank is the emeritus Henrietta Johnson Louis Professor of Management at Cornell University and holds an MA in statistics and a Ph.D. in Economics from UC Berkeley.
