In an MLOps context you might say that you want it to be reusable. You are probably going to have better outcomes for your organization if you ever have more than one model. So from the perspective of someone who is building a feature store we kind of want to make sure that we support whatever types of features that people want to encode in the system. And so you can have really generic things like age but you can also get even specific features that are something that is specific to a certain product and user combination.
