It's very hard to know what the motivation is because you can't believe that he actually thinks that he's gonna offer comfort to anybody. One candidate is that he just felt guilty about what an asshole he was so he's going back out there. He does bring a gallon of water like right and he does check on the guy. But when he goes back he gets he gets found by I guess some other Mexicans looking for the money who you know they're looping over the hill in these four by eighties four by four trucks with the big ol big ol lights.
