The Politics of the Bible
Bible study is using a wide variety of disciplines to help us extract that divine meaning out of the text. One of those things, I think, is political philosophy. Once you get, however, to essentially the center of the Bible, and once you get to the end of the Bible,. you have a lot of liturgy and poetry and wisdom, etc. And it's in many respects, one of the great blessings of modernity has been we've been able to recover a little bit more about those periods than was accessible previously.
