I think applying liberal principles to the state itself, we would see that the state is itself a predatory illiberal force. The government is itself an instance of organized crime, just one that we've become especially so familiar with that it doesn't feel like it. So I think it's actually correct that there's no special authority or reverence that we should have for any form of government. But at the same time, that's only in a, it has to be with the right kind of institutional comparison.
