Is There a Future in Prediction Markets?

i would love if america could adopt prediction markets for more things. Every single event ever is new at some point, like it was the first time it had ever happened. The volatility is only going to go up, overtime,. And the past alms matters less and less. It's also a fact of the universe that we might want in our model, but there's no model because there's no conded reality.
