What Is Common Purpose Without Common Enemy?

The world is just too gosh darned small nowadays to allow for the only way for creating common purpose to require a common enemy. And we see that the political parties, you know, are pretty good at this. They both say the same thing. It is all belonging by demonization, belonging by othering. Was politics always like that? Maybe it was. maybe reli s have always been like that. But here's the thing, even if it was always like that, it doesn't work any more. We have to do what i think of as create common purpose without acommon enemy.
