The history of Western imperialism is replete with this sudden, tearful concern for the well-being of women. It's a very old refrain, very old hypocrisy, this one. That would be mine. I have complicated feelings about it. You know? Just don't take things where there's an animal on the box. Oh God, Afghanistan has exploded. Yep.
