In some sense universal health care and worker collectives are not so radically different that there is just there's philosophical ideas to explore and accept. Why do you think if universal health care is popular? Why don't we have universal health care in the United States? Well democracy is a great thing. It came from the struggles of ordinary people to expand suffrage and so on but the economic sphere and trench power in the economic sphere bleeds into our political democracy. There's a large industries with a vested interest in not having universal health care. They pay for ads, pay lobbyists, they influence government and they have made it very difficult.
