I wonder if you'd say a little bit about the sacralisation of landscape. I'm just reminded of this phrase by someone I don't normally particularly admire but Beedon Powell who says when you can't somewhere make sure to leave two things only. He says leave thanks and leave nothing which is the opposite of a path in a way. Is that sense of sacralisation strongly linked to a sense of possession?
