The Differences Between the NDM Community and the Academic Community

As a tenured professor, I have a lot of luxury in that I don't need to worry about whether or not the way I think is best ends up being best. When you have folks who are doing this professionally day in and day out reputation is very important. The bigger differences between scholarly and non-scholarly communities is the types of risks that we're willing and able to take on based on what we're trying to do.
