The Immortality River

The only thing that got the Troglidites to leave their city is that somebody came around and told them, hey, you realize that there's probably this immortality river. Some a priori argument that convinced them if there was immortality, remember there must be a mortality. I find some solace in the thought that it's all that this has been the common experience of all humanity that we might tell the same stories.
