Pyruvate and the Mitochondria
For some cells, this is the end. Like we spoke about, red blood cells. Doesn't go beyond this. Because they've got no mitochondria. So that's the end point for them that made their ADP and that's enough for their function. We're continuing through cellular respiration. We ultimately want to get to the mitochondria. But we need to take pyruvate and we need to turn it into something called acetyl-CoA. And so here's where we start to bring in some more B vitamins and derivatives of B vitamins.
