Is There a Long Tail Future?

A few people seem to have hovered up all of the big stuff, money and power. So is it that kind of long tail future that the middle is squeezed? There's lots of tailored personal politics and economics but there's also a huge concentration of power and wealth at the top. I mean, we can't, I mean technology is not deterministic. It can still go in different ways. The same way that in the 19th century the Industrial Revolution produced new revolutionary technologies which could produce very different types of societies with trains and electricity.
