The Loss of Moderation in the Culture War

In the past, it was easier to hold a moderate position without being jumped on from both sides. But that wasn't as much the case 10, 20 years ago and now people are more polarized than ever. The culture war is not between two equally extreme positions but rather defenders of enlightenment values against postmodernist revolutionaries who want to tear everything down.
