The Dark Side of Meritocracy

As a poor kid who made good, how do you think about the notion of meritocracy? Well, I think meritocracy is great. It was great for me. And no one wants to go back to the time when everybody went to the children of the aristocrats and so on. But it's become clear recently and you've read the deaths of despair that we are exploring the much darker sides of meritocracy.
