The Effects of Olive Oil on the Economy
It's part of the Italian rural character to just assume that if something's been done traditionally then it must be fine. But actually this does appear to be naturally occurring phenomenon right? It reminds me a little bit of the ash dieback. Which is a fungus that has been killing a lot of ash trees in the UK and one of them came to an ash tree in my parents' garden which basically broke my mother's heart. Out of interest when Holden sent this story I looked at the price of the five litre sort of tank of olive oil that I bought last year and I bought it in July because I have a sort of scarcity mindset.
