What Is Salvation for Catholics?
When i was a non catholic, i believed with all my heart in the gift of salvation. I also believed back then that salvation was ling of our soul and ultimately, of our bodies too. What we're saved for is to share in nothing less than christ's own divine sonship. This is what justification and sanctification are all about. The word of god doesn't just declare guilty people to be innocent. He transforms us, by the power of the word, into godly children of the lord.
