Do You Know if You Can't Get a Tourist Visa?
In barley, you could get a 30 day visa and then extend that for another 30 days. After 60 days, legally you'd have to leave the country. In mexico, they have a hundred any day tourist visa. If you all you've got as a tourist veasa, right? You're here at the mercy of the emigration official. Whereas if you're resident, you've got a much more secure claim to being in that place. And it also just gives you that permanent base where you don't have to worry about bouncing around.
