The Effects of Surfactants on Dishwashers
Plastic has little dense in it. And so it's going to hold on to the liquid more than the smooth stuff. Which is why when you take them out, a dish might be really hot still. But a plastic Tupperware container might be quite cold. So I think how the water interacts with the materials in terms of maybe does it drain off versus does it bead and stay put. That's my theory.
