The Balance Between Neoliberal Capitalism and Social Responsibility in America

As an Australian looking at the United States, it seems that neoliberal capitalism in all its manifestations has gone absolutely over the top. The Europeans tend to have more of a, you know, a grounded basis. There's more of a balance in Europe in terms of their commitment to social responsibility as well as the other. But in America, if you ask, some Republicans, not all of them, but some of them would say there should be absolutely no restriction on what I can do.
