The Importance of Preventing Outages

The week after SVB went on, Miguel and I were like, well, we got to fix this now. And the first thing we did was like, design the system to be basically like apocalypse mode. What is the bare minimum we can do to make sure people's apps are still delivering? That's on the prevention side. The other stuff, that's in some ways the easy solve. We can build something. But how do you move quickly and build things with so many people at once? It's hard for different muscles. You're always gonna have these super-to-to-be years where you're coming in overnight, 10-year success or whatever.
