Only about five thousand of Kentucky's 20,000 permanent residents have headstones. The more types of front you had on a gravestone, the more expensive it was. Some grapestounds are very expensive and they weren't cheap 200 years ago as well. And some aspects of this funeral industry are kind of predatory, unfortunately.
