The Worst Case of Leaky Water Pipes in the Country
In March 2003, a group of homeowners in Washington, D.C., discovered that they were all facing a similar issue. Many of these pipes exhibited multiple pinhole sized leaks. Even more confounding, a large percentage of the copper pipes were essentially brand new. Some of the pipes had begun leaking just 18 months after installation.
