The Three Gold Souverains
The mystery box contained three gold sovereigns. The farmer laid out the coins and said he wanted to give him advice. Jowin didn't want it, so he wasn't even going to put it on the table. It had been a good three years of back breaking labor for jowan. He should stay in the dead of night with his wife and children making cakes too. If you know how to soften an old man's heart, that might be better than coming home completely empty handed.
