The Inca Emperor's Plan to Kill the Spaniards

Among the Incas only Al Toapla's top military leaders apparently knew of this plan to capture and kill the Spaniards. Their successful capture would simply mean the elimination of the final small impediment preventing his march on Cusco. As soon as the Spaniards were disposed of, an Inca emperor wielding control over a reunited empire would then once again rule the entire civilized world.
