Australia and China - One Country, Two Systems?

i'm kind of struck by the fact that we're talking about what could be the biggest conflict in half a century or more. It has the potential draw in australia because of our proximity and our alliances with the united states. And our prime minister is confusing our policy on ti on with our policy on hong kong. That doesn't necessarily fill me with a lot of confidence. i don't think there's much prospect of a significant descalation in the crisis around tian itself. I think bjing's determination to achieve reunification sooner rather than later, makes that situation extremely intractable. So our government is not asking those questions about how we can dascolate
