The Benefits of Vertical Scaling in Kafka

I really like the vertical scaling approach with, you know, using kind of the context or domain to split service into microservices and horizontally scaled those. That is not the case in our current team, unfortunately. Yeah, the split makes it easier to see when you need horizontal scaling, when you need vertical scaling. So let's say, for instance, the API we were talking about, if the number of messages in Kafka gets way larger than it was before,. You need to increase the memory, you scale vertically, and that's it. It's all a big game of wake, pros and cons, met engineering and not show; I feel this experience will be valuable.
