In England, Scotland and Northern Ireland the total amount of student finance support that you get is means tested based on family income. For most under 25 year olds this is a proxy for parental income. Now in England as in England you only get a loan, the reduction starts at just £25,000 of total income. And once you get to around £60,000, £70,000, you're getting around half the full loan. The answer is yes allowances will be made, but they will not be huge.
