What's the Biggest Gap in Data Management?
i'd like to get your perspectives on what you see as being the biggest gap in the tooling, our technology that's available for data management. I'll tell you something to vias that i'm pretty excited about. It's kind of the temetric store, the metrix laer, that's being added to the stock that a couple of companies are doing. You know, i've battled for many years the issue of metrics being defined differently by different people and never lining up. The trying to go to the tribal knowledge of the folks around me to figure out how that metric is actually defined.
Summary
Data quality control is a requirement for being able to trust the various reports and machine learning models that are relying on the information that you curate. Rules based systems are useful for validating known requirements, but with the scale and complexity of data in modern organizations it is impractical, and often impossible, to manually create rules for all potential errors.
