Currents 100: Sara Walker and Lee Cronin on Time as an Object

The Jim Rutt Show

CHAPTER

The Problem With Information Theory

Theory of time is a theory of measuring something that happens over time. It seems like it could easily be compatible with at least some deeper physics of time. There are parallels between assembly theory and quantum gravity in terms of having a causal directed structure, except they treat events and we treat objects. And so if you want to treat the objects of evolution as material objects, which I would prefer to do than saying they're disembodied and they're not physical, then you have to treat this temporal dimension as a physical feature of the object.
