Conlangery #42: Practicum — Getting Rid of Adjectives

Conlangery Podcast

CHAPTER

The Big Book and the Big Book, Book-Big or Book-Book?

Coptic has a much larger set of noun-like adjectives. And it has a smaller class of verb-like things that have to use a relative clause. So the fun thing about Coptic is because they're both nouns, the two things follow from that. When you want to use one of those in predication, the adjective-like thing must take an indefinite article prefix. The big book can either be book-big or big-book. Mike, do you have any other thoughts about this or questions?
