Do You Still Love the Sport?
I got as much satisfaction out of teaching young dynamic engineers, vehicle dynamic engineers, how to do things. But in the end, I was burned out. Did anyone in Formula One try and lure you back? Yes. I got one offer a huge amount of money. Pray to something like 6 million for a year back then. It didn't even tempt me. I have never had one day of regret of retiring. In that particular case, my timing was just perfect for Jackie. And I just have been the happiest man, you know, not driving a racing car. Still love the sport. I don't go into Grand Prix. I love the people. So I haven't lost
