Hustle and Motivate was one of those songs that was quite literally pieced together. Nipsey would record, but then he would just leave and be like, you know what, I'll be back. So the beat had already been made for a while. The backstory behind it is quite hilarious because honestly, it's still a mystery about who's on the hook. And so somebody gets in Sam's ear and was like yo, that dude did the hook. You can't talk about the Jay Z sample without talking about the influence that Jay Z had on Nipsey himself.
