How to Look at the Market From a Technical Perspective

I'm somewhat US equity centric but I do work on what I consider to be sort of macro technicals so I look at just about anything that influences US equities. We start top down looking at the S&P 500 index in our reports that we publish daily and we drill into some sector rotation work or relative strength work which I find incredibly important because that will really set the tone as to whether you're outperforming or not. So overall we try to find inflection points we try to identify important levels, dollar gold crude oil treasured yields things like that and we really do deep dives into various sector work where the real potential is to outperform.
