The Problem With Debate in High School and College

"I was raised at a dinner table full of lawyers. And I don't remember the first time somebody accused me of be of both sides, saying a thing," he says. "You can get to pick your side. You get to sell it. Even if you find the idea abhorrent, you debate it until you make the best case."
