The Effects of Wearable Devices on Cardiovascular Health

There were about 9,000 participants surveyed and the authors felt that these were felt to represent large swaths of the adult population. They estimated that 3.6 million US adults with cardiovascular disease and 34 million at risk for cardiovascular disease used wearable devices compared with an estimated 29% of the overall US population. The current use patterns could exacerbate disparities unless there are strategies to ensure equitable adoption. But but this assumes wearables provide benefit over standard measures. I am not sure that is a good assumption.
