If astrology were true, should we be able to figure out how it's operating? So why couldn't someone put forward some mechanism for this if it's really happening without a coherent explanation? We're just admitting to believing in magic. And in fact, that was just fine when astrology was developed thousands of years ago. It was fine for an answer back then. But now we have science. If there's something happening, we should be able to detect it, measure it, categorize it, explain it. This is what science does.
