Xenophon and Neon

Xenophon was accused of wanting to found a city and indeed he thought it might be a good idea. So they decided we're not even going to camp in the nicest part because that just is one step on a slippery slope towards founding a city. They build a fort and a kind of not so nice part of this area called Bethynia. But meanwhile, while they're there, Chairissophus dies. And you get the sense that Xenophon respected him enough, but he didn't really see him as a particularly great leader.
