The DT Swiss star ratchet system used to have one spring and that patent has now expired. Now you're seeing a lot of these Chinese wheels that have their DT Swiss ratchet style instead of the poles. So yeah, I think that's what's taken these components more time to get going with the Chinese group sets just because of all this patent might have felt that the China works its way through it.
