The 1619 Project
The 1619 project, Nicole Hannah Jones actually says in defending it, that what we are trying to do is not to come up with a more accurate history. We are attempting to replace one narrative with another. In the Me Too movement, women's,. the stories that women tell themselves are expected to carry a weight that may not be sustainable with reference to reality. And in the transgender movement, people's identity of themselves, people's gender identity may be belied by their sexual classification and so on.
