Warwick was run for centuries by the earls of Warwick who lived in the castle. The rich people and merchants did fine but there were huge kind of poor areas where people were crammed together with no sanitation. And yet the upper classes were having lovely time, having elegant balls in the ballroom or going to races at Warwick.
